^^^ +1. Josh, did you get in on the Groupon deal?
Personally, I'm still favoring my 0.6 L Eva (sipping a cup from it now, in fact), but I'll crack the box on its larger 1.0 L brother soon. Clean-up is a little bit of an issue for some with these brewers; I find a bottle brush works pretty well, as does the dishwasher. I just make sure the carafe is well-protected and can't clink against any mugs on the top rack.

^^^ Sure thing. No, sorry, I haven't dusted off my press in years. I wouldn't expect a radically different cup from the Solo, but it could be a little bump up. You might try this method (pouring through the filter rather than plunging) with your Bodum as an experiment to see if it makes a difference. The pictures are missing since the post is archived, but I think it's still pretty easy to follow.

Cleanup is alright, no worse than press pot IMO. I don't usually "cup" my coffee. I used to brew in a FP to get a cupping-like brew (and slurp from the cup). Now I use the Solo.
