Because it:
1) Brews in 6 minutes at 207F
2) East to clean
3) Has a separate 450F warming plate
4) Can be found for $35.00

My pick would be the DeLonghi DCM900...

+1 on the DCM900. Another positive: up to 500ml (about 4 "cups"), you can use it like a poor man's Clever Coffee Dripper. Put the carafe under the filter basket, but don't push it all the way underneath. This leaves the cutoff valve closed, and you can do a full immersion steep.

When the coffee has brewed, carefully push the carafe into place. (Note: this takes a certain amount of manual dexterity. If you misalign the carafe, you will end up with coffee all over the counter.)

I am very impressed with this one, although some reviews give it not-so-great marks for reliability and DeLonghi customer service.

Other than that, it appears to be an outstanding machine. Plus it is a real beauty. If I got one that worked correctly, I would be a very happy customer. :)

I found this interesting video in which they compared the Bodum Bistro Pour Over to the Bonavita.

http://gizmodo.com/bodum-bistro-pourover/

It is a nice looking machine.

I wonder if Bodum submitted this one to the SCAA.

So far I've only found one store (and bodum) that sells it for $250.

I haven't been able to find out much about this one.

dont know if this fits into what you're looking for...since it's 500 bucks and only makes one cup at a time.

the bunn trifecta MB Click Here (www.home-barista.com)

i'd love to own one but 500 bucks is a bit steep for me.

I'm interested to see them at all price points :)

It's interesting to see what is out there. :D

That one is really something else! I agree; it is expensive. I'd love to taste the coffee in that taste test!

youre in luck.  we just found out what Joe Behm's Gort is.  The Behmor Brazen.  It's a temperature adjustable home batch brewer.   Click Here (www.youtube.com)

check the "show more" section under the video for more specs.  It should be introduced at the upcoming SCAA show and hopefully be selling soon.  Joe mentioned in the other other Gort thread that it will be 199 dollars.   "What is Gort?"

looks promising, would love to try this one out.

I know this isn't exactly what you're looking for, but the Clever Coffee Dripper is very underrated imho.
It's my goto brewer at work, very little fuss to it, and very repeatable results.

Other than running a kettle on the side it's not really any more work than an autodrip.

If the new guy can drop a few pennies' worth...

Electric drip: Braun KF-12 4-cup (6 years old and still brews at an even 200 degrees)
Manual: Drip-o-lator drip pot (Old, but *might* replace the Braun. Might.)
