Krups Moka Brew.
Not really underrated, but not widely popular (and not currently distributed in the US -- US distribution seems to come and go periodically).
The KMB brews under pressure to produce coffee that is similar in style to filter drip, but stronger, richer, and better. The only form of brewed coffee I prefer is vacuum pot.
Just because it happened to you doesn't make it interesting.
In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is.

I am very impressed with this one, although some reviews give it not-so-great marks for reliability and DeLonghi customer service.
Other than that, it appears to be an outstanding machine. Plus it is a real beauty. If I got one that worked correctly, I would be a very happy customer. :)
I really liked my DCM900....all 3 of them...until they broke. I got them when Sam's Club put them on clearance. They looked nice and made a great cup of coffee but each only lasted about a year.
