Here as well.

I'm sure that Able will develop even better Kones in the future...

In his Kickstarter video, Keith relays that this will be the last KONE he has plans for; he is moving on to filters for other coffee preps.

I'm looking forward to this. If the DISK Fine and the KONE V3 are what they claim to be, it's time for something else. Full-immersion/Press Pot?

The wait is over! My Kone landed yesterday, and just two brews in, and I'm tickled pink. I approached it much the same as my typical pour-overs, albeit with a bit more confined pouring focus. The resultant cup is very clean, but definitely full and sweet. Cleanup was a breeze - no stuck grounds, and nothing in the landfill.

I couldn't be happier with a brewing device. I don't think it gets any better (for me).

I'm still waiting... Very excited! What grind and brew time did you settle on? Generally speaking.

Just got mine today. Loving the fact that it can take more turbulence than the previous version without letting a ton of fines through. Cup was so clean at the end...first time I've ever taken the last sip from a Kone brew. Money well spent.

Tip: Swirl the Chemex around a bit with your hand during the final drawdown to get a really nice flat bed.

Tip: There are many possible uses for the Kone.

Gonna take several days of playing with it before I settle on anything. It should be noted that V3 drains MUCH slower than V2. Using a grind setting that previously gave me 2:45 for 30g/480g gives me 4:00 in the new Kone. Strangely enough though, the brew didn't taste over extracted like it did in V2 when I would go past 3:30.

So much playing to do...but so little caffeine my body can handle. That's how it goes I guess...

It's nice to hear that the new Kone offers more resistance. I can't wait.

I think it was a 15 on my Virtuoso, which I also use with paper filters. Sounds really fine, but for some reason on mine, it isn't crazy fine.

Not crazy at all! I use a 16 on my Virtuoso for 8oz V60s. I'm anywhere from there up to 22 depending on amount of coffee, etc. For those one cups though, I am almost always down in the 15-18 range. With my Beehouse I draw out a 3min pour and 3:30 total brew time with 19. If I was brewing quicker, I'd probably be down around 16 for that as well. It's actually a really nice fine drip grind in the 15-18 range.
