Thanks for posting your French Press recipe. We're taking our Nissan 34 oz stainless french press with us for a weekend camping trip. I going to give the additional filter optional try. Looks interesting and less fines makes everyone happier. Take care!

I have always used my Aeropress in the way Alan intended, but today, I decided to try your inversion parameters. I forgot my thermometer in my office (I'm at a different site today, but had some notes for microwave time where I'm at today, from a previous brew, and figure I was about in the right ballpark.
I was wondering what Lido setting you use for your AP? I noticed in your discussion, you mentioned it hasn't seemed to matter much, but I'm still curious. I had mine set at 1 today. The cup was pretty nice, rather earthy (I brewed a Guatemalan Bella Carmona I got from Red Bird). 35g dose, for about 300-325 ml water (total). (I held the pitcher up in the air and didn't let the meniscus stop rocking, then spilled a small amount.) I typically add raw sugar cubes to my press methods (and agave to my 'spro when I sweeten it)...but alas, I forgot that today too. Bitters seemed low to me, though I wouldn't consider myself an expert taster by any measure.
