It is my pleasure! As another example of their surface, I managed to work the bolt caps loose on my (my own fault) and OE offered to not only tune it up for me but also take a look at how the grinder was aging as they have yet to see anther unit back since sending them out. They will do everything in their power to help you but also continually improve their product! It will take some time to break the LIDO in. You will witness your grind consistency improve steadily as everything settles into place. Enjoy!
I did! Originally, I thought I had screwed up something more but they reassured me that it was just Loctite. That said, they offered to give the grinder a tune-up regardless and send it back so I figured, why not! Barb said that they have not seen a single LIDO since shipping them out so they looked forward to seeing one that had seen some use. It should be arriving in their hands today - I'm lost without it at work lol
It really is. I could have just used some Loctite myself but was happy to send my grinder back for a quick tune up. I could not be happier with my LIDO. As far as I'm concerned, I can't see mysel ever owning a grinder that isn't a Baratza or OE.

I know this thread is aging, but I wanted to give an update. I got the Lido some time ago and I've been loving it. The grind consistency is pretty much 100% and the construction is strong. Even at the finest setting, it doesn't take a lot of armpower or time to grind a good amount of coffee. I too had an issue--my own fault--with a part. The lid holding on the catch jar broke, which meant I also got to experience the company's outstanding customer service. They sent me a replacement free of charge (even shipping) and not only that, but sent another when the first was lost in the mail due to my failure to update them on a mailing address change that occurred in the meantime. So, while I still haven't tried any of Baratza's grinders, I'm pretty glad I went with the Lido.
