New to the forum, but long time coffee enthusiast. Does anyone here have input to the use of Hario V60-01 vs Hario V60-02 with respect to the following?
a) Is it recommended or does anyone have experience with putting more than ~8-10grams of coffee in a V60-01? b) The size of the V60-02 is larger, so would this affect the brew of the same amount of coffee compared to the V60-01?
Thanks so much in advance. I only have a single V60-01 and have been experimenting with brewing ~18-20grams of coffee in it. I like the taste, but have no reference other than the smaller size.

Hi Jesse. Welcome!
I own the V60-01 and owned the V60-02 for a long time. With the 01, I use a ratio of 18g/275ml and it works perfectly. The biggest brew I have made in the 01 was 24g/400ml. I used a two stage pour with a draw down in the middle but it worked!
There should be no difference between the 01 and 02 with regard to brew time. The hole at the bottom of the V60 is the same so the only the walls of the two drippers differs.
