I use a manual drip brewer at work to allow me to drink my roasted coffee at work.  I usually drink 1-2 cups per day.  I want to grind the night before work, package and bring it to work the next day.  What is ideal for coffee ground storage.  I currently have the following.  Kraft paper bags with inner seal lining, mason jars and ziploxk bags.

I vote for the jars.  Iíve experimented several times with grinding directly into Ball jars, sealing the lids immediately, and then waiting hours to brew themóoccasionally even overnight like you're curious about. Each time Iíve gotten a very good cup out of my pre-ground coffee. Now itís true that in all cases I was starting with fresh beans (never more than a week post-roast) and using a coarse press grind, so your mileage might vary if you change these variables significantly, but the results have been consistent enough for me to take them seriously.

The Mason jars seal very well and I use them for whole bean storage in a chest freezer. They may be all you need for this application. What I have used for temporary ground bean storage is a Vac N Seal canister from Home Hardware. They have a manual vacuum pump built into each lid. The smallest size is 400 ml., but you need to leave space to prevent ground coffee from getting into the vacuum release valve.
If you find the extra effort to vacuum worthwhile but want a smaller container, the 500 ml and smaller Mason jars will fit inside larger Vac N Seal canisters. When you release the vacuum on the canister, the Mason lid will seal and depress on the jar. Vac N Seal make an AeroPress style hand vacuum pump that attaches to resealable bags, but I find they loose vacuum too quickly after a couple uses.

How hard would it be to just buy a burr grinder for work and use the jar to keep your fresh WHOLE beans in? Just asking?

I used to bring a grinder to work but due to where I am working it's not possible.  I also have a Grindmaster 825 in the other room.  I'm not looking for absolute freshness just a good cup that allows me to grind every few days.  I have used zip lock bags for 24 hour espresso grinds.  I got lot's of 500ml mason jars so I'll start there. :)
