I have Bricoletta Volante. Recently as soon as it builds up steam to capacity, there is a "pop, pop, pop" as though steam were leaking out from somewhere. The pressure gauge needle falls to zero and the machine is inoperative.
When I took the cover off and started the machine, I noticed that the vacuum valve seemed to be leaking excessively even around the threads into the boiler. I removed the valve, cleaned it of a minute amount of scale and replaced it. It still leaked steam excessively as though the pin was not being held closed by the pressure in the boiler.
Any ideas if it really is the vacuum valve or some other part. I am indebted for your help.
