I am looking for a 4 or 5 cup automatic drip with timer...any suggestions on brands? Just looking for a quality small machine. Thanks for any info. Cheers!

Hi, welcome to the board.
There are a lot of questions you need to answer. What is the budget? What is a "cup"? Do you have a grinder? What make, model grinder?
A timer indicates you are going to setup the night before and expect coffee to be fresh and hot when you wake up. That really isn't going to happen, you will have stale grounds long before you go to bed even if you use fresh beans (less than two weeks FROM THE DAY THEY WERE ROASTED!) as coffee grounds stale in about 15 minutes from the time you grind them.
The best mix of timer and sort of fresh coffee requires a drip machine that has a built in grinder but many have trapped grounds in the chute from the grinder to the brew basket. Most automatic machines do not brew hot enough either.
Expect to spend $300 as a starting point and the price moves up from there.
