Yep, the lock down spring filter is the best, they seem to fit almost all vac pots even when not fitted originally.
Thanks for the suggestion to grind finer for faster drop down.
One thing I do is place a heavy quart size pyrex measuring cup on top the vac pot top globe. The globe has a flat top, so the cup isn't going to fall off. This *really* speeds up drop down time. In fact I put another smaller cup inside the quart one to increase the weight load. I've found any type filter will never clog to a stop when with enough weight on top, it makes the rubber seal *much* stronger.
