I have been doing my research and it looks like the kings of coffee brewing are the machines with the copper heating systems. Now, I'm a newbie to all this and am simply looking for a high-quality machine that can make enough coffee for us: 6 10oz cups! Does this exist and can I buy one in Canada? I would LOVE some expert advise! Bonavita: only 40oz. Technivorm: 40oz, and the larger ones are over $500--a bit too steep for me.

The Bunn Pourover machines that work with airpot carafes: Like this yahoo link should be the answer to this question, unless I'm misreading your criteria... Bunn are the machines used all over North America in the donut-shop, brunch restaurants, pubs etc. because of their accepted quality. There it is in Amazon.com If you want them for less than they're worth, I'd look into dealers local to you and see how often they circulate the used equipment from theirt customers who have upgraded. Decent quality equipment is a great deal when it is both maintained by a capable technician AND is offered used for half its retail price.

Williams Sonoma sells the Technivorm Grand for $349 shipped - a 20% off coupon called "SAVENOW" (no quotes) brings the price down under $300 before taxes.

Forums like this and informative members like you EricBNC are one of the simple joys in life. I had no idea Technivorm had a Grand version. The OP should jump all over this, pronto. Take care!
