A heads up for those interested… CoffeeCON 2013 registration is now open. It's being held on Saturday May 4th, in Warrenville, IL. Kevin was finally able to secure a deal for the same building with additional electrical power so he could include some home roasters. Early bird ticket prices of $10 until January 1st. I got my tickets and am really looking forward to attending. Information at:

The "roasting pavilion" will be informally run by GCBC members. Anyone here who'd like to help out with this public education effort is welcome to -- but I'll ask that you participate at GCBC just so organizing things can happen in one place. The thread is in the Coffee Related Discussion board. You'll need to create an account at the site.
It's entirely a volunteer effort. There's a budget for greens, though. If you can bring your roaster, do. If not, hang out and converse with the public. Or if the reader of this is new to home roasting, just come and hang out with home roasters and learn about it.
Last year we had what -- 11 members of the club? But it'll be much nicer this year with an ability to actually roast.
