No, just the V60 pour-over.

I haven't received the Trifecta yet but I am so looking forward to it!

Welcome,

You're going to really enjoy the daily use of it and the ease of tweaking the brewing to bring out different flavor nuances. BTW, are you are fireman? Just wondering because of your use name. Take care!

Jim

Ha! No, I got that nickname because as part of my love for chemistry I used to make 'experiments' that burned.

I appreciate everyone in this post's analytical approach to finding the best ways to extract flavor from the coffee beans. It seems to me that the Bunn Trifecta allows so much more experimentation along those lines, and allows those experiments to be reproducible.

I like your signature, Jim. Here at my company we hire the OCD!

Bunn has decreased their shipping time. I ordered my Trifecta from the factory on Tuesday, and they shipped it today.

Got it - used it - love it!

It's dead simple to setup and start brewing. The only problem is that it's not flexible enough; I haven't found a setting to brew a poor cup!

I think I may have set a record on initialization runs. It took SIX before the disco lights stopped. I think it was just messing with me.

^^^ Glad to hear it!

For the record, and à propos of nothing in particular, I don't recommend trying to brew a cup without the filter in the brew chamber! ;)

Got busy this morning and forgot to put it back in after having removed it for a rinse. Dumped ground coffee into the chamber, hit "brew," and thought, "Hey, the turbulence sounds different!" Then nothing would press out when the time came. Eventually I heard a hiss coming from where the brew head lowers into the brew chamber, which I then removed (full) and dumped, leading to a bit of a facepalm moment as I realized what was up.

All is well now. My first stab at fixing things involved removing the check valve from the brew chamber, cleaning ground coffee out of it, and reassembling. A water-only test run went fine, but then coffee attempt #2 failed when the valve developed a leak during the brew cycle. Replaced the check valve with a spare, and that was it: the third time was the charm!

Nice work on the repair! So overall would you say the increase in body was not worth the effort? ;)

You know, I didn't bother to taste that first stalled brew. Guess I was too busy trying to keep the brew chamber from dripping all over the kitchen floor on the way to the sink! Next time (not)...

Also, as I think I reported above, NEVER hit the brew button without you cup in place!
