I use a Clever dripper to make my coffee, but I want to get my parents a new drip coffee maker to replace their Mr. Coffee for Christmas - something very simple to use and reliable that makes decent-tasting coffee. In my research here and on other sites, the most likely candidates seem to be the Bunn Velocity series and the Cuisinart DC-1200, but any other suggestions would be very welcome.

Maybe take a look at Kevin Sinnott's recommendations, he did a roundup recently.
Bunn Phase brew, Bunn A10, Bonavita, Technivorm, Behmor Brazen are all good choices. The Phase may be the weakest in this group, but it's also the cheapest.
