Hey guys, long time lurker and coffee drinker here. My KBT741's cold water reservoir has a crack in it and thankfully I was able to purchase a replacement from Boyds for cheap. Though I know seeing one uninstalled will certainly help with removal of the defective part it won't be here for a few days. In the meantime does anyone have any tips to remove the reservoir? I'm assuming i'm going to have to take the bottom out as well to get the floater disconnected but figured I should ask around and see if anyone had any experience taking these apart and/or a diagram.
I am amazed you were able to get a new reservoir. I tried to buy one last year and was told that they did not sell replacement reservoirs. Good luck with the repair.
Originally I was told I would have to send it in for a service which was $100, but in talking to that same representative on the phone it turns out they could sell them separately though they only had a handful in stock.
