As I embark upon my coffee journey I found myself choosing to go with the chemex 3 cup (im the only coffee drinker in the house)
I have the unfolded half moon filters. I *think* I'm folding them right, however here and there I'll notice grounds are escaping. I've tried looking up videos to no avail. If anyone can offer some sage advice on folding these buggers, I'd be most appreciative.
I've done the same. The video wasn't much help because i can't quite tell when she pulls it apart, the actual cone-shape and how the small half circle sits in all of it so that the grounds don't escape.
Fold over once, then you have 1/2 of what you had. Do it again and you have 1/4 of what you started with. Then at the top separate 3 layers from 1 layer. Put your fingers in there to create where the grounds go. Should be a piece of cake.
Okie doke. I think the part I wasn't interpreting correctly was the separating the layers 3 to 1. Hopefully the resulting cone in the morning will hold all the grounds right. Many thank-yous.
