I recently ordered a filtercone and 1L Zojirushi thermos/carafe. I've been brewing with my french press which is excellent, even though you give a little coffee due to the sediment. I also have been brewing with my Cuisinart 1100, but heating the water before filling the resevoir and also infusing by leaving the carafe out for a minute after it starts brewing. Again, excelent results. My goto coffee's recently are Yirgecheffe, Tanzanian Peaberry, and Kenya AA. Once I got the filtercone and thermos cleaned up and ready, I ground 40g of Yirgecheffe for approx 1 liter of water. I got the water to a full boil, waited approx a minute and started pouring and stirring. What a clean, fantastic cup of coffee. I'm going to mess with some fine adjustments on my grinder and play with the water temps, but I know that they are falling pretty quick once it comes off the heat and then the few mintes that I'm pouring. The thermal carafe is fantastic for keeping the coffee hot between cups also. For about a $30 investment, it makes a fantastic cup.

Glad you're enjoying your coffee. Forty grams though is way under the generally accepted standard of 60g per litre. In all honesty I tend to stick at 60g for pour over but everyone's taste buds are different.
