Someone gave me some Brazilian coffee, ground, and relatively new (exp date is Feb 12, 2014). The grind is very fine---almost powdery. I'm presently using a bunn trifecta mb (20grams to 10 oz water) and it's pretty good --and it doesn't clog the filter, but I was wondering if there is a special way to brew this coffee. For example should I be using a paper filter instead of the metal one that's in the trifecta? I have a technivorm and a behmor brazen so wondered if these would give me a more 'accurate' brew. if the brazen, any suggestions on the settings, temp and initial infusion...... any thoughts? I know that beans would be better but it's a gift. thanks for any thoughts.
