Have also learned that Technivorm themselves have take over distribution in the U.S.

At the moment everyone seems to be out of stock on many items.  Hope that changes soon.

I see under that service announcement that there is an improved part, I wonder what the real impact is and if it affects the consumer models

I assume you mean the reduced wattage heater ? I wondered about that myself.  Everything I read claims they are all 1450 watts ?

Have a used one coming soon. Could never bring myself to pay the cost of a new one.

Speaking of, why would anyone go to the "Bay" and pay 70.00 more than retail for one.   Does that actually happen ?
