Hello all.

I am still relatively new to the forum and to the world of coffee. I have been trying different brew methods and reading what is a ton of information that is available on the internet.

Of the brew methods, I have been experimenting with the Hario Siphon Brewer.  Talk about finicky, needing a lot of attention...but if you get it right can yield a very tasty cup of coffee.

I had made a video of my brewing, of which you can view at http://youtu.be/V6cPahOAFCQ and would love any feedback, advice, comments, other resources...

I primarily stick to using a French Press for ease of use, and also have a brew bar for pour-over, but I would like to get more comfortable with the Siphon process.

Thank you for any help...and take care.

Edit: Link repaired for ya!

Christian, your link gave me the old "404" error.
BTW, syphon brewing makes (IMO) the BEST cup of brewed coffee, with just a bit of practice. Confused about your grinder. I have an Esatto for my Preciso, but I'm not sure what a Vario Virtuoso is.
Is that the Virtuoso with the Preciso burr set?
A vario is it's own animal. The regular Vario, and Vario-W.
A Virtuoso comes 2 ways, stock, and with the Preciso burr set.

The Preciso is also named  the "Virtuoso Preciso."
Yep, I know. tricky!

EDIT: the comma at the end may be the problem. Let me see if I can fix.

Hello there.

I got several refurbished grinders from Baratza that were actually package for Starbucks...so the Vario Virtuoso was what was on the boxes when I got them. I agree with you that this nomenclature is not on Baratza's website for their current line-up. I hope this helps clarify things.
