Posted Fri May 3, 2013, 10:39am Subject: Kaffeologie S Filter - Error in instructions
I've been enjoying using the Kaffeologie S Filter with my Aeropress since I got the filter last November, and have always used it as the instructions in the packet show - with the metal ring facing into the black plastic cap on the Aeropress. Last week I noticed that the mesh filter was coming away from the metal ring around a portion of the ring.
Kaffeologie gladly sent me a new one as a warranty replacement, but they did say to always use it with the metal ring facing the body of the Aeropress to prevent wear on the welds on the mesh side of the ring (their website says the same thing, and it makes sense to me). This is the opposite way round to the picture in the instructions with both my original and new filter, so I thought I'd let anyone who hasn't come across this advice know.
