I've always loved coffee but I have only just started broadening my horizons outside of just the plain jane drip coffee, into brave new grounds (no pun intended) like espresso and French press.

Can I get a comprehensive list of all the distinctive coffee brewing methods and types from you guys? Along with a brief explanation of what the method entails and how this affects the flavour, composition, etc.  I want to try em' all and I want to make sure I'm not missing any gems.

thanks!

Daaaaamn

I'm not one to browbeat "Search!" to any op, as topic reruns are a fundamental cycle of any forum. But that's a tall task considering how many.sites & blogs have already put similar breakdowns together.  Wikipedia, this forum, A quick google search I see brewmethods.com and among others:

Or if you really have to read about it all here, on this forum thread page (idk I  get it, I like the b/g colors here) maybe asking about members' particular favorites might be more reasonable.  Mine IS plain jane drip coffee.  After a year plus of nothing but vacuum pot, I returned to auto drip just for consistency & convenience/cleaning etc.  Maybe not quite as capable as the siphon when everything's right & I accidentally make a perfect pot, but works better for me.  Never mess it up anyway.

& welcome.

Yes a tall order indeed. Good luck getting it answered completely. I can only begin to imagine the time one would have to spend on that and the length of the post. I agree that maybe you should have merely asked for a list of brew methods so you could go research all of them yourself.

Thanks for the link. I really like the looks of the mocha pot, Turkish and Brazillian methods. I'll have to try them out eventually.
