So was reading more and saw some vids as well. I know there are some older threads. Curious to try this mainly for iced coffee in the mornings. Besides shots we make iced lattes every morning in a tumbler. Thinking about doing a Cafe Crema (basically 4-6oz shot from around 14g but ground coarse enough that you pull that amount in same time as a normal shot with your espresso machine). Apparently really popular in Europe, but still not known much in the USA.

Whole Latte Love just did a cool vid going into detail about it:

Sorry to say they're not that well known generally in Europe either. Maybe a different case in Switzerland?

No reason not to give it a try though, David Walsh and, more recently, Australian barista champ Matt Perger have brewed filter strength coffees on espresso machines.

Yeh I saw what he did too. Didn't think much of it till that video from Whole Latte above popped up as a suggested video on my youtube account. I thought it was more popular in Europe but seems only certain places, but seems if done right people love it. Think I'll play and see what happens. That video from Whole Latte made it look delish! lol

Ok so tried a few times, not sure, maybe it's not my thing. Used 14g and was pulling 4-8oz trying different grinds and pulling in correct time, about 27 seconds avg. Still tasted like watered down drip if that makes sense? Had the crema on top like in the video. I guess "passable" drinking straight, but did not like it over ice/milk, brought out a taste that reminded me of Charbucks blechh lol.
