I can get refurbished versions of these two Bunns for $89 and $99, respectively. I've searched through this forum ad nauseum looking for information on both, and I've gotten some good tidbits. Sadly, that just complicated the decision a little more. I know the A10 will probably last a long time, but the lack of a thermal carafe necessitates an additional cost for a Thermos Nissan. If the A10 produces a superior cup of coffee then I don't mind, but it'd be a lot easier to know the answer to that question ahead of time since returning something that size would be a royal pain in the you-know-what. Having stated all of that, is there a significant reason to choose one over the other? Thanks!

I went to the Bunn o matic website. The A10 is the commercial brewer, i suspect there is more metal in the construction but can not verify that. The BTX is a velocity brew or home machine.
I suspect that inside they are pretty much the same but can not verify that, a parts manual of each would be need to compare one against the other to know for sure.
My guess is that either will likely do what you are looking for. The A10 MAY have an adjustable thermostat while I do not think the home machines have this feature though you need to take the top off the A10 to adjust it.
