Hey everyone, I'm new to both this site and making my own coffee, I've been reading up a bit the last few days and I'm going to buy a Bialetti Moka pot in the next few days, while I do love the look of the classic Moka Express, I'm leaning towards the Bialetti Kitty Oro Gold. I was just wondering what the differences between the aluminium pots and stainless steel ones are? Also, do you need to season the stainless steel pots the same way you do the aluminium ones? Thanks.

I'm no chemist, but I got rid of my aluminum (six-sided) moka pots because the aluminum seems to react with the acidic coffee, and there's been a lot of talk about connections between aluminum and Alzheimer's. I got a nice stainless steel one that I use for power outages and camping. The point of quality stainless steel seems to be its stability and its cleanability, so I would vote no on seasoning it.
