I stupidly completely disassembled my Infinity Conical Burr Grinder, and cannot figure out how to put it back together! I wanted to clean the grinder really well, so i unscrewed the grinding blade. There are three little springs and three little balls inside the machine where half of the grinding blade gets screwed back into place. Does anyone know where the balls and the springs go!?
After making sure it was out of warranty and unplugged, I went to work. Remove the center screw with a t20 torque bit. Be careful removing and re-installing because it feels like the the screw is threaded into plastic. Remove the plastic worm on top of the burr, burr, plastic disk, 3 ball bearings and 3 springs. Be careful with the plastic disc because it has 3 brass inserts that can fall out. Brush off (no water!) everything.
To re-assemble, put the brass inserts in the disc and install. The insert is keyed, so it will only fit one way. Next put the springs in, then the ball-bearings. Put the burr on, making sure the ball bearings are in the indents on the bottom of the burr. Install the worm then the screw. Carefully tighten the screw. You shouldn't have to force any of the parts and everything should be tight and level.
