Darn it! I went to order the thing- and when I submitted the order, I was redirected to a search page- there was no order confirmation. Now I'll have to call them in the morning.

Always something!

Hey Rich, Just wonderin', did you get your order straightened out with Koffee Klatsch? I called earlier in the day to see if they carried something that's not listed on their website. The girl there didn't know, & I missed the owner by 10 mins, so I'll call again tomorrow.

Hey, Coffee-buddy Craig,

Actually, I never got around to calling Koffee Klatsch today- I had a bunch of errands to run in town. I did see that my credit card hasn't been charged though....

Would you believe I'm getting crema from supermarket coffee? I picked up a bag of ground Eight O'Clock coffee today (Can't find coffee beans anywhere in the shopping area near me)- it's a little step up from Folgers! I just made a pot....and there was mundo crema in the pot. Which translated to a tiny bit of crema when i poured it into my mug. (Or is there something else in the supermarket coffee that I'm mistaking for crema?)

Hey Rich, Yeah I believe it because most of the stuff in a can like Folgers is primarily Robusta beans & not the good stuff, Arabica beans. I actually went to the sites to check them out, Eight O'Clock coffee & ya being an ex New Yawker., Chock Full O' Nuts.

It's not "primarily robusta".  Its mostly crappy arabica (vietnamese, low grown, genetically modified, n' what not) and up to 20% robusta (any more and it would taste worse)

Ok, I believe Vietnam is #1 for this crap & has pushed Brazil to something like #3 on the list. I didn't Google or haven't checked out what the big 4 are using & ratios, but crap/garbage none the less... {:-(

Actually, this bag of Eight O'Clock that I have, says 100% Arabica on it. Of course, it's probably 100% crap, too! They even have GM coffee now?(gulp).....I gotta get some real coffee, pronto!

With this low quality stuff, the first cup seems to taste good- and that's it. It's gets progressively worse in a hurry!

UPDATE:

I finally got around to calling the good people at Koffee Klatsch. I oredered my Zass Turk, and, for my inconvenience, they threw in a half a pound of coffee for free! That worked out nicely- they are very nice people to deal with.

I've grown tired of the 8'O'clock "coffee" already (Only the first cup of thie supermarket swill seems to taste good)...so it'll be great, when my grinder AND some real coffee arrive together....I'll be able to have my first cup of "real" coffee.
