I'd like to get a thread going here where people can recommend an outstanding roasted coffee they've recently tried. I've checked out Coffee Review for some leads, but the problem there is that a lot of their reviews were done years ago. There's still some good recommendations for places to start, though.
I've recently tried Terroir's Ethiopian Yirgacheffe which I liked very much. It was much different from anything I've ever tried before with sweet notes thrown in. Very nice.
I'll be trying more blends soon. I've read a few things about Green Mountain Breakfast Blend that I will be trying in a few weeks.

I have had good luck with brewing any of the single origin beans from Intelligentsia Coffee in Chicago. My all-time favorite brewed coffee is the Sulawesi. It has a complexity rare in single-origin beans.

Not to question your judgment or authority but would not this question fit the Home Roasting Forum slightly more than this one? I view this question as a question directly related to home roasting, nothing else. Just my opinion but I would think that this thread would be a valuable resource for home roasters and thus would get more viewing in that forum. Like I say, just my opinion. :)
I just got a shipment of Green Mountain Breakfast Blend. This has got to be some of the best coffee I've tried. It's a little light in the body, but if it had a more full body it'd be pretty great. It's very aromatic, nice coffee flavor I've been looking for. Maybe I should have been checking out blends all along instead of single origins.
Terroir's Colombian is by far the best Colombian I've ever had, totally different from others - with a flavor that Peter (CG name SL28ave) called "orangey" and couldn't be described better. I can't remember exactly what Terroir's Kenyan is like, but I remember it was great.
Coffee Emergency's Harar is a great Harar with a Yirgacheffe-type lemon note to it. I love the stuff. His Timor has a great malty flavor, and his Kenyan is just a great classic Kenyan. I will admit that I have a bias for Coffee Emergency, since I don't have to pay shipping charges.
Stumptown's Guat was a great Guat, same thing with Intelly's Kenyan.
If you know what you like, you're not going to go wrong with anything from Intelligentsia, Terroir, Stumptown, or Coffee Emergency.
My favorite "drinking coffee" is hard to choose, since I roast my own. I just decide what I want and roast it. However, I tend to prefer Ethiopians, so I'd recommend the Harar.
