Hello there. I saw the comment on the Bonavita and thought I'd point out a couple things real quick. If you do a little research on the machine, you'll find out the flavor of the brew changes with smaller brew sizes. The manufacturer recommends brewing only full brews which was a deal breaker for me as 99% of the time I only brew coffee for myself.
Actually the Bonavita makes an excellent 500 ml pot - by adjusting grind and dose you end up where you want with regard to flavor. Most grind a little finer since contact time with the water is shorter or increase the dose so more coffee is available to extract from. Trying these will be fun experiments for any brewer. The Technivorm has the training wheel flow control on the grounds cone which is good while starting out, but the grind and dose method works on it as well.
I chew coffee beans with my teeth while gargling with 195 F water to enjoy coffee. What is this "coffee brewing" device you speak of?
