Personally, I use the quart widemouth jars.  I vacuum seal before throwing them in storage.  Works well for my amateur palate.....

I found an attachment at Bi-Mart that attaches to our vacuum bagger that vacuum seals canning jars.

Works great!  I've got one for wide mouth and one for standard mouth canning jars.

don't think I've ever heard of Bi-Mart before.  I know of K-mart and walmart.

I picked up some 16 oz jars from Target.  they seem to be about the right size for me to fill my hopper with a few days worth of beans.  I filled 8 of these, and one 8 oz jar with 3 pounds of Red Bird and still had a little left over so I put the excess in a 4 oz jar, but it was just a little over half full.  It seems having all three of these sizes might come in handy afterall.

Bi-Mart is a member-owned discount store.  Smaller, more local, discount stuff here in Southern Oregon.   The brand they had was called "FoodSaver" for what its worth...

oh, cool, thanks Man.  I know Food Saver.

(btw, I'm with you on the caffeine discussion - about not sleeping if I don't drink decaf after about 5pm)
