Hello,
So I am interested in making flavored roasted coffee using my Nesco home roaster. From the few things that ive seen online, this is pretty simple as far as actually flavoring the coffee is concerned. can anyone explain the process? any websites that give step by steps and the ins and outs of what roasts go good with what flavors?

I have never thought of flavoring coffee, but when I was looking into the SCAA Flavor Dynamics Taste Training Kit I learned that Flavor Dynamics is one of the companies that sells coffee flavorings. Their site would be a good place to start to learn about the process, at least for their products.
I'm sure that there are other suppliers and possibly other methods. Good luck and heed the warnings:
Flavoring and flavor storage should be done in a room separate from roasting and packaging equipment, since some flavors are flammable liquids. Allow your roasted beans to cool, then place them in a glass or stainless steel bowl, beaker or canister – plastic coating pans should be avoided when flavoring because the plastic will absorb liquid flavors. Some potent flavors, like cinnamon and amaretto, can even erode plastics, adding unpleasant notes to your final products.

I don't see the need to flavor the coffee it's self, if you want different flavors added to the coffee, that is why they sell syrups. This also avoids the whole smell and off flavor in the grinder thing that you get with flavored coffee beans.

Good point. I noticed some flavours that arent available in syrups tho.. I could just add flavour after grinding into the brew process. Maybe I'll try that. I miss Snickerdoodle!
I just noticed how much Monin, 1883 and Torani have. All together well over 100 flavors. :) Im gonna stick to syrups.
I can vouch for the www.coffeeflavoroils.com site. I used the site years ago and used many of the oils to flavor beans for the holidays. It is worth a check. The oils are sugar free, so keep that in mind.

hiiiiiiii.......... your right the seasoned cafe you purchase in stores has the character augmented the beans in a fluid shape that covers the beans.
Ive caught the Cinnamon thought said works exceptional. You might attempt including a spot of vanilla in your espresso once it is pored... ...........................
