I am restoring a Bunn water boiler and I need to descale the tap itself which is a chrome finish. I don't wan't to ruin the look of the machine and I was considering just using 50/50 vinegar/water or CLR or possibly taking everything to a local repair shop to be acid dipped. Does anybody have a good DIY solution that won't ruin chrome finishes? Cafiza won't be strong enough or should I just use a wire brush?
