Hey! New to the site, but not to coffee.. Anyways, to answer your question, a sour taste indicates an under extracted brew. This is most seen in espresso where an under extracted shot puckers the lips. I have found that the best way to take care of under extraction is by grinding finer, but that can be somewhat precarious with a press pot. I think the best way to fix this is by simply brewing longer. The blend may be intended to have some "higher notes," but a coffee will generally "mellow out" as it ages after roasting. Another easy way to fix this is dosing lower with the same amount of water. If you happen to have a scale, you could dose 1 gram of coffee to 16 grams of water. I have found this to be a good starting point for most coffees. Hope the advice helped out a little.
