I bought my husband a Chemex and Kone for Christmas and I also want to buy him a kettle he can use with it. I was considering either the Kalita wave kettle or the Kalita thin spout when I saw the Kalita 600S coffee/tea kettle (link below) Click Here (www.amazon.com)
I would love to know if anyone has any experiences with this kettle. Is it suitable for making pourover coffee? I am looking for a kettle that can be used directly on a gas range.

What a great wife!
That looks like it should be fine, really anything that can get the water hot will work, you want the water just off a boil or 195 to 205F for drip/brew well any coffee really.
I think the reason people like the long spout is for careful placement of the water. At work where I do any other than espresso brewing, I have a $17 electric kettle I bought at Wallmart when in Chicago for my sons navy basic graduation 5 years ago as I had forgotten to bring any method of heating water. It works just fine and I use it every day so YMMV.
Another one that is similar to they one you link to is Click Here (www.amazon.com) you can see they look very spout similar. Yours should work fine :D
