I’ve been drinking a batch this week…

I roast my decaf a little more than my regular to remove some of the “funk”, so using a HG/DB I go about 45 sec into a mild 2nd crack around FC+ to Vienna. I started pulling around the 3rd day and here’s a pic of a bottomless pull from a few days ago. It pull very even.

It’s very fruity—nice crema especially for decaf—clean finish --I like it a lot

One pull I got slight cherry or raspberry notes.

On a side note I’d love to upgrade to Anita one day, how much of a pain is it to fill the tank?? I would only have about 2 inches of clearance under a cabinet but I would have a few inches of her edge peeking out from the cabinet will clearance there. I’m wondering if I will have enough room to fill her this way without pulling her out.

Thanks for the Donkey report...
Anita is surprisingly easy to move (for 47 #'s)....I have Corian, so it just slides out....you would probably have to pull her out a few inches....

I have 1/4" clearance! So I was concerned also. But I was willing to make it work somehow. With Rocky on her right ( Not enough clearance for a Mazzer), Anita sticks out from under the cabinet  four and one-half inches . I remove the cover for filling without having to slide Anita. With 4+" sticking out from underneath the cabinet you should have no trouble removing the cover and having enough room to pour. If you had only two and one-half inches sticking out from the cabinet, although you will still be able to remove the cover, there will be little room to pour... (although even this might be solved with a gardening can with tapered nozzel). Less than 2 1/2" and I think you're going to have to slide to be able to pour. But as a previous post noted, she is not difficult to slide.

I always have some Donkey roasted and on hand.  It makes wonderful cappuccinos by any standard -- haven't had a straight shot for some time -- also enjoyed it as coffee.    Glad to have it when I swear off of caffine for the day.  I roasted it into the 2nd crack, just as it is getting started, just beginning to become rapid.

I followed another tip elsewhere and just put my 48 pounder on one of those plastic disposable cutting sheets - slides great!
