I'm almost done with a sig drink, and would like to get an espresso that compliments it.

Lemons and Honey in the espresso would be nice

Also burgundy or other red wine would be amazing

grapefruit could work even better then lemon,

I am also really intrigued with trying to bring out some plum in the espresso!

does anyone here have some ideas of good blends to try??

Hey Billy,

Are preparing for a competition?  Great Lakes?  Just Wondering?

Are you working with a roaster on a blend or are you looking to try out some blends?

We offer an FTO Espresso, La Lunar Blend at our shop that would capture a lot of the flavors your listing...burgundy, lemon, slight-honey

If you are looking for idea's of what to blend I think an Ethiopian is a good place to start (I know, a bit cliche), maybe Yirgacheffe.

Just some ideas.

Great lakes... yep :-)

I'm working with a good roaster friend of mine Zak Rye from Ugly Mug of Ypsilanti, but thanks for letting me know what you guys are working with. What coffees do you use to get the burgundy?

Ethiopians are good, but I've had a hell of a time this year finding any that really stood out to me... especially the Haraars I've tried, which is my personal favorite. I did have a decent Limu at one point I think... I digress

any coffees that you know that bring out a grapefruit?

Thanks!!

I'll be there at the comp as well.  I'm looking forward to meeting you all and having some drinks!!!

Great Lakes, whoop whoop

Tell Zak I said suuuuup.

Sorry, nothing concrete to  add about the grapefruit, just wanted to chime in on the comp though.  Have you tried some centrals at a city roast?
