I got my hands on a bag of Safari Blend Summer Espresso from Paradise Roasters.  They said it is an all African blend they have been experimenting with and they will be selling soon.  I am very excited to try it out.  It was roasted a couple days ago and is still degassing so I will need to give it a day or two before breaking it open.

Opened this up last night and had some more this morning.  My wife and I love this blend.  It was easy to dial in and pull good shots.  Seemed forgiving.  Nice crema.  At first, lemon then fruit and then chocolate.  My wife gets the same flavors and added a light nut flavor in the middle.  It is a medium roast that held up well in a cappuccino but was also great in my straight shots.  It has good acidity and very low bitterness.  Not a complex or deep espresso but it seems perfect on a summer day.

We will be buying and enjoying more of this.  Our current favorite!  It is very good.

cool. I just got my first bag from Paradise's monthly subscription I signed up for...it's very good so far...I wouldn't say it tastes the best of any espresso I've ever tried at home, but I think the extractions look the nicest...gloppy, syrupy pours that look amazing. maybe next month they'll send me a bag of the safari blend...

I got a bag of safari a few days ago. been having trouble dialing it in. shots seem bitter and for some reason my barista technique seems to have gone to hell as well with these beans...got several spritzers, dead spots in the puck, and uneven extractions. hopefully will get it dialed in before the end of the bag!!
