Is there one anywhere? Now that I am getting into this addiction err hobby, I wanted to try and find a more local roaster. I don't mind buying online, but I love giving local businesses my business when I can.
In Maryland BTW, near Baltimore if anyone knows a roaster.
Keep in mind that this list came from here -- I only re-shuffled it to be geographic, rather than alphabetical, for the OP.
The original list is composed of roasters that I -- and a number of other people -- have tried personally and recommend to people on a regular basis. It is not a list of "every roaster out there," nor is it simply a listing various individual's favorite roasters. Although compiled very informally, each roaster on there has been recommended by roughly 4-5 different individuals, each of whom has significant experience using coffee from a number of different sources (primarily in a home environment), and each of these roasting companies can be ordered via the internet.

In Maryland, there is an excellent specialty roaster that I get coffee from when I visit there--Mayorga Coffee Roasters.
High Quality Coffee. Check it out. (I grew up in that area so I'm always on the lookout for good coffee there)
Good luck finding a good cup of coffee! Also, there are quite a few other smaller coffee companies in the Northeast besides the big guns that serve excellent specialty coffee....you just have to dig a little harder to find them...

Yes I found them. Not really "local" in the sense of what I was looking for. They will be a place I will try when I have appointments near DC. But otherwise it would be a long drive for just a coffee pickup. I have heard good things about them though
