Title says it. I'm in RI, so I'd like to order from somewhere in the general Northeast quarter of the US if possible. I've been having some trouble with the results out of my machine, and I'd like to eliminate a variable by using some beans that come well recommended. Main issue has been thin espresso with a quickly disappearing crema, so if you have something that was nice & thick with a solid crema, that would be ideal!
Thanks
PS, I'd prefer something that is somewhat less picky about exact brew temps etc also. I have a good grinder (zassenhaus) but my machine is not too great.

Thanks Jon, My next order will be with them!
It's a um, er.. delonghi. I got it cheap & it got me into this, and I've converted it to non-pressurized 53mm basket. My distribution could use a little improvement still, as the flow path does slightly favor the outside. That said, there's no spraying/channeling evidence. I'm using the zass as mentioned above, with a real tamper. My results are good enough to make tasty cappuccinos, it just falls short with straight shots.
As I said, I'm not expecting miracles, just want to eliminate the variable of coffee that doesn't come specifically recommended, even though the guys there seem quite competent.

I see...
Have you tried hitting the steam switch for a few seconds before brewing to boost the temp a little bit? The DeLonghi units I've seen tend to brew on the coolish side.
That said, you might try the darker roast from Terrior for starters. Another good choice for a wide window of temperature acceptance might be Ambrosia from Caffe Fresco. (They are in PA - so not TOO far away)

Thanks, I'll try the steam button in the AM. I'd been pouring a shot of water then putting the PF on & brewing as soon as the boiler kicked off. Maybe this wasn't the ideal arrangement.
I might try that one from Caffe Fresco, sounds tasty & they get an extra point for being organic. PA is plenty close enough :-)

I would also recommend checking out Gimme! Coffee out of Ithaca NY. They're running a free ship special this month on a 35$ purchase, so I got a 5lb. bag of their leftist espresso. It arrived today, roasted the 9th, 2 days shipping to Providence. I got myself a package of quart Ziplocs, and divided 1/2lb portions into each bag, vacuumed out the air, and stuck them in my dorm freezer. : ) It should last me a good month or so, at least I hope it does.
This is my first time trying Gimme, but so far I really really love the leftist - I suspect it will get better after another 2-3 days, but I'm hoping this can be a cost effective coffee solution for the future - as a college student as well, I know what it's like to try and keep costs low, lol! With the free ship, this came out to 9/lb which is better than anything I can pick up locally w/o shipping anyways. Hopefully my makeshift ziploc bags and makeshift vacuum techniques will suffice - time will tell for sure.

I have ordered some of the Ambrosia, and will report back in several days. I'm definitely going to have to start ordering larger quantities once I figure out exactly which one I like best, the shipping is slowly draining my bank account! (not really, but it is a tad painful)

Hey man,
You should definitely check out the "Platinum Blonde" blend if you are liking the Leftist.
The couple times Ive frozen coffee, I just double bagged em'. If your worried about the sealing of the Ziploc, just bag em again. Should be fine.
To the OP:
For thick mouthfeel and MOUNTAINS of Crema, I suggest Gimme!. The Leftist and Platinum Blonde are serious crema bombs, and taste good too.. Plus, I always found them easy to work with, WRT temperature. Ithaca NY. Im in Fishkill and get my order the next day.
Now, these guys are on the other side of the country, but they use USPS Priority, so its fast and cheap... So with that, try out "The Coffee Klatch". Nice selection of blends/SO, and very popular coffees.
Caffe Fresco also comes highly reccomended. Speaking from experience here, make sure to give the coffee a couple extra days rest. I had trouble with Fresco roasts, when they were too, "fresco", but once they rested a bit, they were great!(which is true of any coffee)

For a slightly off-the-wall suggestion - try the Mont Carmelo Brazilian from Delaware City Coffee Company (purchase via ebay). The roast is a FC+ and you'll have the full taste and crema you're looking for. It's a good choice if you want to avoid bitterness in the cup.
Chris (who runs Delaware City) does a consistent roast and also sells an espresso blend that I enjoyed.

Jman, it is a EC270.
I will give Gimme! a try in a week or two when I've polished off the Ambrosia.
I've been using the steam button a bit heavier while brewing, and results seem favorable from doing so. I ran out of "good" coffee, and I'm on my reserve stock from the local wholefoods type place. It's old, but results are better than they were last time I ran out and was using it! haha Time will tell, once I've gotten the good stuff again.
