I am equally curious...although I should just suck it up and spend the $5.99 or so for 12 oz. and give it a try. My guess would be that it might be a tad overroasted and stale tasting, but I am always willing to try something new...

The GMC Dark Magic Espresso Blend is not bad. The beans they shipped appear freshly roasted, with some oil showing on a medium dark roast. Produced a good shot with rich crema. It was a very straightforward blend, not a lot of body or complexity, but a good finish without bitterness. If your idea of good espresso is Black Cat (which I don't particularly care for) this blend will not excite you.
I also tried the GMC organic espresso blend, which left a lot to be desired. It was very bitter and unrefined. I also had to turn my Maestro plus down a few clicks to get it to pull slowly.
Just for reference, my standard drink is a double espresso without sugar. The blends I drink most frequently are Peet's house blend and Graffeo Dark.

I haven't tried Cost Plus yet. But Green Mountain makes a good cup of coffee. That said, I have been wholly unimpressed by their "organic" blends. You have the added benefit of ordering "locally" and fresh from Connecticut since their roasters is only a state and a half away from you.
Middle of nowhere is Nebraska, Kansas, South Dakota, and Oklahoma, my friend. That is, if you think USA/North America is the nowhere, we would be the middle. But hey, nebraska isnt that bad. SD is a hellpit (no offense to anyone that lives there, but, hey! look at your state)

Yes, I've been looking for more nearby roasters to try instead of ordering from the West Coast all the time.
As for the middle of nowhere, I actually spent three enjoyable days in Sioux Falls once. Central CT does seem remote when you grew up near San Francisco and lived in Los Angeles for several years. -Sam
