A bit non-traditional, but I love Sweet Maria's Liquid Amber Espresso Blend at a Full City roast, maybe a Vienna if I'm slow to stop the roaster ;-)   I've gotten it down to 30-35 minutes to roast a pound in the air popper.

I drink it like this straight and get a LOT of crema.  Especially if I haven't waited for degassing, I'll sip through my 2oz cup and find a ristretto hiding underneath a fog of beautiful and tasty crema. I'm tempted to pull a lungo...

The other Sweet Maria blends are arguably better for looser drinks such as Americanos, but the Liquid Amber remains my favoriate straight shot.  I can't comment on milk-based drinks, I'm dairy-free.

Also you can try Tuscano, Rustico or La Forza from Counter Culture, they are a little more expensive then Red Bird but cheaper then Intellegnetsia.
