Has anyone tried any of 1000 Faces coffees, I just order a pound of their Aldo's Espresso to try something different. But also ordered my usual Red Bird
It's pretty good, however it's nothing that got me too excited. Just a decent sweet espresso. Let me put it this way, if they were a local shop close to me I would probably buy from them because they are priced well, and don't over roast. However, buying over the internet unless I can get a good deal on them I will probably not get it again.
Thanks for the reply, they are a little closer to me in NC, seems like a lot of the roaster sell in 12 oz bags. Not to many still sell in a one pound bag, some offer to up size from their normal 12 oz to a 16 oz but most are 12 oz.
Re: 16-oz. bags, FWIW, two roasters I recently tried and liked who sell them are Bow Truss (Chicago, IL) and Anodyne (Madison, WI). Didn't sample their espresso blends, however.

I wasn't too keen on their espresso blends, but liked the Ethiopian SO (as french press more than espresso, but also as espresso) that I bought four pounds and just finished that batch. It's pricey though, so I just received my 5lb Redbird this morning.

Even though I ordered it at the same time I ordered my usual Red Bird, it didn't get here until I got my Red Bird so it's in the freezer and when I'm done with the Red Bird I'll starting in on it
