I've been buying on the web but would like to find a local coffee seller who roasts fresh so I can buy in small fresh amounts, but have not been able to find anyone. Does anyone live in north San Diego county and know a good place?

I've tried two places nearby:
Safari in escondido - Although there is a ton of coffee being roasted here, the owner appears somewhat apathetic (overhead him talking to another customer "i don't want to be doing this forever"). His "expertise" is more along the lines of drip coffee (even the espresso he pulled was of drip consistency)
La Costa Coffee in Carlsbad - decent offerings at affordable prices. They apparently roast daily but don't write down the roast dates. Their baristas are fairly inexperienced so don't expect great shots. I bought a bag of their espresso blend but wasn't impressed. Worth a shot if you enjoy dark roasts

In San Diego Cafe Calabria has a proper espresso blend and baristas that know how to pull it. Klatch has good coffee, but I have yet to have a great shot in-store. Portola has both, good coffee and good baristas.
