I find that once frozen they age faster so I do smaller bags that I can use up quickly. (judge this by how fast I have to move my grinder up as they age) 5 lbs lasts me about 2 months. I put 2 or 3 days worth of beans per bag in my freezer (that you have to defrost not the auto defrost that I have inside) I pull out a bag an hour or so before use to let warm up. I don't have a food saver so I use the zip locks that pump the air out. The smaller amounts warm up faster because most of the bag is one bean deep. I freeze them flat.

I have always been told not to put coffee beans in refrig or freezer because of the moisture. Dry,airtight, dark storage has been the mantra I have always been given
Leftover beans should be cooled and then refrigerated in an airtight container. They will usually keep at least 4 days. But make sure that these beans are completely cooled; otherwise, they can grow unhealthy bacteria within the container even if the side is cool. Bean dishes thicken as they cool and their seasonings and flavors continue to blend. That’s why bean dishes are better the next day. If you plan to freeze all of the beans you cook, it’s a good idea to undercook them. This usually means cooking about 30 minutes less than the suggested cooking times. If you cook beans in your pressure cooker, reduce the cooking time by 1 to 11⁄2 minutes. Undercooking will help the beans maintain their shape and texture as they thaw and reheat. Freeze beans in 1 to 2 cup portions so they’ll be easy to thaw and use. Freezer containers should be airtight and moisture proof. Leave enough space at the top of the container for expansion of the beans. Fill the container to 1 to 11⁄2 inches from the top, making sure the beans are covered with liquid so they won’t dry out. Cooked beans will keep in the freezer 2 to 3 months. After that time their flavor and texture will begin to deteriorate.
Like I said, I found this information after searching a bit... that thread to be exact. There's a LOT of information out there and sometimes it takes a bit to dig out what I'm looking for. Thanks!

I'm leaving CLM's posting for now, if only for the humor quotient. :>D Goes beyond spam into realms even CG hasn't reached prior.
Legumes indeed!!!
Now the question: does this thread stay in THIS forum, where ALL can have a hearty laugh, or do I move it to it's (ahem) proper forum which would be... ah...er..uh... Oh, never mind.
