Oh god, Allegro....They do some ok coffees sometimes, but don't bother buying it at whole foods: they have recently installed air roasters in each Whole Foods location. Yes, it is fresh roasted, but realize some yahoo making $10 per hour is now roasting your coffee, or rather the yahoo is shoveling your coffee into a machine and the machine is roasting it by timer...Blleecccchhh, vomit.
Eric, you are really starting to bother me with your enthusiasm for Coffee emergency: my shipment is not even in the mail yet and you keep going on about how good it is. Damn, I can't wait!

If you live in the Los Angeles area by all means go to Espresso Mi Cultura on Hollyood Blvd. at Western. This Chicano owned coffe-house will remind you (if you're old enough) of LA coffee houses in the late fifties and sixties. In addition, they serve the finest espresso I have ever tasted and you can buy fresh roasted beans from them. They do not appear to sell by mail, but I've not asked. Here is there web site: http://www.espressomicultura.com/.
just to make it worse, and make you get extremely anxious: the great, buttery shot: 18 seconds. Yeah, even 7 seconds short of "perfection" you get yourself an amazing shot.
So lets see: First shot, sweet Second shot, kicky, sweet finish Third Shot, kicky, sweet finish Fourth shot, Buttery

Working for him? I just got a job working for him 4 hours every Saturday at the farmers' market. Does that mean that if I recommend his espresso blend now, I'm doing a commercial post?

We are using the ORO and Five Star from the Molinari, and we like it very much. It is a very good brand for espresso.
For the drip coffee, we use the Columbian, Santos of Brasil, and Simao beans of Yunnan Prov. of China.
