Subject: Espresso Marco Polo from Java Coffee and Tea

We're in the Houston area (Livingston) and we have been amazed with our espresso coffee supplier, Java Coffee & Tea. The guys are really down to earth and have all kinds of flavored coffees and teas. We discovered them when my sister-in-law sent us some of their coffee as a stocking stuffer; knowing that I loved coffee & were thinking of opening a coffeehouse in the middle of Livingston (aka redneckville). Anyway, one thing led to another and we discovered that their espresso was very smooth, produced lots of crema and is very consistent.. We did open a coffeehouse (going on 9+ weeks) and were not aware of how smooth our espresso was until many of our regulars came back and told us how they had gone into Houston and tried their "usual" and were greatly disappointed with "you know who". One of our frappe' regulars said ," [you know who] had nothing on you guys." I'm not boasting about how good we are or "we know so much about coffee". I'm boasting about God and when he tells you to do something He knows what he's asked you to do. And, no, you don't have to know everything about what he's called you to do and don't have to feel adequate or skilled, but He can still use the little that you have and make it go a long way. So if you are ever in the Lake Livingston area, just head north on business 59 ( before you get to 190 & 59) take the exit and go past a little the old downtown area at 1300 N. Washington and here's where we are.

Well, one of the most important things to do is homework. Study your area and location. Sometimes it's better to have a "not so good" location and pay less in rent especially in a small town. I could be wrong, but for us that's how it worked out because the places closer to the old historic downtown area were "historic" conditions - leaking, heavily damaged and in need of repairs of all kinds & now we hear that people that have shops down that area are having sewage problems. The other big thing is to hire people that are "known" for their prompt, quality work. We hired a "friend-of-a-friend" and that didn't go well. Now we're having to rework some work into our budget. The Lord will work everything out for the better. That is all for now. Pray for the people how were devastated by the sunami (underwater earthquake).
