I am interested in any new gadgetry that is being developed for the Gourmet Coffee Industry- both at the Commercial and at the Home 'Levels'.

If anyone is aware of any recently introduced gadgets, then please share with me. Here are the type of gadgets that I am interested in learning more about:
  1. Custom steaming Pitchers
  2. Thermometers for Milk Frothing
  3. Unique portafilter designs
  4. Etc.
  5. Etc.

I want to share with you all one gadget I discovered last year- Check out the 'Pallo'- an ingenious tool to clean and maintain espresso machines; you can find it at www.coffeetool.com. I purchased one of these Pallos and they are terrific.

-------------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------------

P.S. I hope that a lot of the intelligence, passion, and creativity (i.e. thinking outside of the proverbial box) that I see exhibited in Coffeegeek's Forum will be put to practical use and create your own products and services that others will find useful if not indispensable. (Now I will step off the soapbox)

Do you have a bottomless, aka "naked" portafilter?

Neal,

You talking my life. I design and manufacture all kinds of products for both the home and commercial side of the trade. I'm glad you like the Pallo tool. It has been a great success and there are more great tools coming from this company. Keep your eye on any of our sites for updates.

That's because I bought the Pallo from you in Atlanta at SCAA, Terry.

I ordered one from here, I don't know of anywhere else. Or you can use a holesaw/dremel/drill-press.

Neal,

(See PHOTO Below),

I love my "Nekked" Portafilter from TerryZ at Home-Espresso.com
( http://espressoparts.zoovy.com/product/F_NKDPF ) .

And I also just saw that CoffeeTool on TerryZ's website at http://espressoparts.zoovy.com/product/6012JG .

It looks really cool and I got to get one.

Thank for the info,
CraigD

Neal,

I also highly recommend TerryZ's  "CLICKER-TAMPER" ( See PHOTO ) at
http://www.home-espresso.com/product/3006CL

I got one for my Birthday and I totally LOVE IT !!!

Read this great CG Thread for more cool and funny Clicker-Tamp pictures and opinions. "Re: "The Clicker Tamp" - Has anyone tried it or have any opinions?"

I received an Espro tamper for the Holidays and find the "normal" handle shape and dimensions much more comfortable than a Clicker that I tried locally.

"I received an Espro tamper for the Holidays"

Interesting. I'd like to see and possibly purchase one of these.

Does anyone know who sells these?

thanks,
