And e61brewski, no offense, but the lighting in "The Lamp" ad was the most brilliant (pun unintentional) part of the entire 60 seconds. The defining moment is when the better lamp's light is reflected on the old lamp. Neither you nor I could ever come close to rivaling it.
i didn't say the lighting in the entire ad wasn't 'brilliant' (i'll agree there). i said i liked my street lighting better, and this was in the specific context of someone bringing up the very last shot of the video, where there's rainy lamplight on the pavement behind the capresso. the lamp gets kinda obscured at the end of the ikea commercial -- i have a hard time seeing it (clearly this could be intentional, and clearly i'm biased).
i also said i'm a total hack, and i know it. of COURSE i'm never gonna compete with spike jonze.
to, er, get us back on topic: i wonder if jonze has a naked portafilter?

Not being a Mac user (in the past, not currently) and thinking they are more about looks than function/value (no flames please. lol) I have to admit their advertising is pretty good.
What about that short lived commercial for the newer I-Mac, where the guy on the street is looking in the store window and the computer mimics his movements?
Seems like you could have some fun with your Tea and it's lights, the portafilter handle, steam wand, etc...
you've got to be kidding me. i'll abstain from a flame, but there's no way i even bother making home dvds, music videos, etc. without a mac (and its free, uber-slick imovie software).

OK, I have now waited >30'. The bar at the bottom of the screen says: "done" and nothing is happening. The screen reads:
Chemically Imbalanced Cinematographic incontinence? Check. Blatant espresso amateurism? Check. Vast wastes of time and footage? Uh-huh. Presence of a self-aggrandizing hack? Chyyeeeaah. Look on, friend, look on.
