Tonight, I went for a double instead. Poured about just right, a little less than 20 seconds for 1.9 oz or so... which is about right considering that I had some tamping woes. This one... had one little bad sidelong spurt, I think. This shot was pretty good, not great. I like this picture for the action, though, particularly in the bottom of the cup. splashy!
sorry about the mild out of focus, my tripod broke this evening--the screw to tighten it into position broke just before this.
My solution? superglue the ball into position for espronography! Tomorrow morning should see in-focus shots return.
i've said this before: i'd love to join the smackdown. it doesn't behoove me to do so without a decent camera, however. i'd guess there may be other lurkers in the same predicament (not to take anything away from the select few who generate the bulk of the nice photography).
<exasperated whine on/> anyone have a backup they wanna sell? maybe you upgraded recently and wouldn't mind donating the, er, "junk" canon? <exasperated whine off/>
that is all. i mention this only in the interest of interminably extending this thread's life beyond the horizon, of course. carry on.
OT, ben, but your blog is fun good writing. and no i don't care why you write it, but your lovely and somewhat obsessive graymatter wordsmithing culminates in a midnight readers' insidious brain fag conundrum. in a good way.
